Sheila Gallagher

I was licensed to trade in real estate 13 years ago, seven of which I was owner and Broker of Record at Kerryhill Realty Services Inc. In early 2023, I wisely made the decision to join The West Ottawa Real Estate Team. 

My career began 39 years ago in retail management,  and then I pivoted to entrepreneurship. My ventures have included teaching aerobics classes, writing business plans, designing websites (The Wealthy Barber, Maureen McTeer), developing IT software, and publishing. I am also the author of “Leaving Food Behind.” 

Owning and managing a 51-unit condominium development in Deep River has significantly contributed to my real estate expertise.

As a certified Feng Shui Practitioner, I integrate feng shui with all buyers and sellers. Auspicious placement of furnishings and colours and a clear energetic space can often spell the difference between selling or not – especially when someone has lived in their home for a long time. 

By far, my most rewarding career is trading in real estate and real estate investing. I feel very privileged when my clients entrust me with their most valuable asset and investment equity. When given this trust, I vow to treat all elements of the purchase and sale with the utmost care.

Changing lives and giving back is a passion of mine. I have devoted numerous volunteer hours to the YM-YWCA, Shirley E. Greenberg Women’s Health Centre, iSisters (IT training for women), Hopewell (the Eating Disorder Centre of Ottawa), and Carp Tennis Club.

I live in Carp with my husband and two cats, Garfield and Willy. Travel, tennis, golf, guitar and reading are a few activities that bring me great joy and ensure a healthy work-life balance.
